local 701 electricians

anyone here with them out of dupage?...i am going to get into the telcom section for low voltage...i have been involved with the telcom buisness for over 10 years now and know color codes and stuff like that...have my own punch down and buttset and the rest of the tools...i passed the 1st test and going to the interview portion on feb 9th...anyone know anyone there?....what should i expect at the interview time and then if i pass that, what would be next?...

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

701 in dupage covers alot of different things...i was thinkin about 134, but my neighbor has been out of work from over 2 years due to them having a shortage of work...he finally got back to work about 3 months ago...he stated to stay out of 134...so i went to 701 instead...

the testing for them sucked when it came down to the 1st part...making me study for high school algebra...haven'y had to do that since 1985...lol yea im OLD

Better idea is to get the hell out of telecom all together. it's shrinking and will continue to shrink as more and more consolidation happens. Trust me I have way to much first hand knowledge on that topic.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

I use to be 134 back when i worked for GE. Not sure how they are now for journeyman work but as for representing small companies they kinda blew chunks. (half the reason i got fired was because they didnt stand up for me)....basicly a supervisor didnt like me and he nitpicked the tinyest things untill they added up and the last straw was i went outside 5 minutes early to warm my car up.....oh heavens no....so yea kinda anti-union now
