Strange how things happen like this

One of my sister's friends has been trying to break into modelling for quite some time now. She has done various magazine spreads but nothing too spectacular or noteworthy thus far. Well I'm watching the Super Bowl last night and there was a commercial with a red Ferrari F355 and a smoking hot blonde, well she is that blonde. She found out that they got the Super Bowl spot on Wednesday night and was obviously elated, I guess it's a big move career wise. Then on Friday her parents get a phone call saying that her brother who is a 1st Lieutenant with the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment stationed in Iraq was killed. Fucked up how life throws stuff at you sometimes, anyway, prayers for the whole family would be appreciated.

My prayers go out to the family. Rest in peace, Lieutenant.

On the other hand congrats to your sister's friend on her big debut. Which commercial was it?

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant back on February 27, 2006, I don't know why they missed that detail in the report.

After the first few lines of this thread, I was ready to throw up the "This thread is useless without pics!" smiley, but after reading the rest, it doesn't really seem to appropriate.

Congrats and RIP.
