Infiniti FX35/45

I'm considering trading in the S2000 and selling my beater Talon and picking up a used 04/05 FX35 for under $30K.

Anyone have one of these? How do you like it? Any problems? I'm trying to find a reason not to get one but all signs are pointing to yes so far. I may be towing a small trailer with my ATV or bike here and there so that is all the
"utility" I will need.

Yes, I kind of want to spoil myself.

Once I get married and into a house, I am totally trading the G35 for either the FX35/45. They are sweet. Mileage on the 45 is abysmal but the 3.5 is not much better atleast on my G35.

Get it. I am somewhat regreting trading my G35 coupe in for a tahoe even though I love my tahoe to death. The FX 35/45 is the sexiest damn suv out there and also quick as all hell. The silver one with smoked windows and the 20in stock rims is sex on wheels.

I have the Murano which has some similiarities to the FX. The big difference is that the Murano is fwd while the FX is rwd. Although I am not really a SUV/truck guy, I do like it.

The only drawback to the FX is that its only available with a slushbox. Other than that, awesome. The 35 (VQ35 motor, same as the G autos) can handle light trailer duties easily enough, the 45 will obviously be a little better at the cost of MPG.
AS yet another G owner, I'm very impressed w/ Infinitis. If I were to move to an SUV, the FX would be it.

The FX35/45 is a sweet looking ride and it performs well too, but c'mon, selling an S2000??? You're going to be suicidal come summertime.

like my polish grandma says, you can either have the aquarium or the fish - but not both. as much as i would, i can't.

honestly, it's not financially feasible for me to keep both. see what you did, now i don't know what to do anymore. i may just keep the S and buy a nicer beater. damnit!!!! i don't know anymore.

Sell the DSM and buy a 1997 Cherokee, as the money comes in, lift it, throw some 35" on there, Bull bar and you'll have a pretty mean looking truck and still be able to afford the S2k. Look at Mopar's Jeep, that thing is tight looking and probably didn't cost enough to require the sale of the Honda.
