The coldest rider I've ever seen

OK, last night I was out at a lounge I go to every week and I roll up and see a bike parked right out in front. I walk in and there's the rider eating some sushi. At first I thought it couldn't be real, but it was. Then I thought this nut's gotta be from CLSB. I had been thinking, what's the coldest I've ever ridden in. For me it's nothing, 40. One of my coworkers has done 20 a few times and said it's not pleasant. Anyone else? Coldest ride yet?

The day that the temp was 4 below, I saw an 05 or 06 600 RR with the black and orange paint job going south on 59. Wind chill standing was 30 below, and he was riding!! Nut cases.

My wife looked at me and said, "Is that fun?"
My response, "No way!"

Yeah, I saw a guy on 95th street at Ridgeland on a mid 90s yamaha 600 a few weeks back when it was stupid cold out and I just stared, slack jawed.

I pack it in at 52 degrees. That's what cars are for!

Took mine to the gas station to fill her up when it was -10 with the windchill. Worst ride of my life. I don't think my tires had a good grip the entire time I as riding.

It was a dual purpose bike, which only made it even more odd.

with my mesh jacket....anything thats cold enough to make you shiver with wind

Had to ride home mid decemberish when i fixed everything up at school. But had my winter/snowboard jacket over the riding jacket for warmth. Probly 30 or so out, just cold enough to keep the bits of snow/ice frozen.

Before the salt trucks ruined the roads I would ride to work every morning. 10 - 15 degrees - 6 a.m. - still dark out. Ya, it was cold and slippery - but I couldn't help myself - the 20 minute ride home in the sun when it warmed to 30 (almost) made up for it.

Add 10 degrees to those and that is exactly how I felt.

I think I've been out at night when the temp dipped below freezing, but that was only by mistake. I won't leave the house on the bike if it is below 45.

I rode to work on my VMAX a few years ago in a couple of inches of snow and ice. Outside temp was about 5 degrees.

I got STOPPED going under the sped limit. Cop asked me if I was nuts. I told him car was not starting, I had to get to work. I must have driven 5-10 mph all the way to work, with both feet skimming the ground as outriggers.

That cop wanted to send me to the loony bin!

I think it was about 40 degrees out when I rode home from the CLSB BBQ up in Lake Geneva a few years back. I remember I was on my 10R and BWA and his girl were in his truck. I stayed tucked behind him the whole way home to avoid the wind and to get some heat from his exhuast.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Christmas Day 2005, the temperature was 12 degrees outside. That freaking sucks, I have now upgraded my minimum temp to 30 degrees because of that day . I was layered up on the top half, so that wasn't the problem, but my hands froze quickly. By the time I got to my destination, I could barely feel the throttle, I judged my speed by how fast the road moved around me, I even had glove liners with thick winter gloves on, doesn't do much when the wind is blowing over the bars at 70+ mph. Who knows, with heated grips added soon, I may be able to ride this stuff out.

Don't worry Chills, all of you will see me out the second we have a 30 degree day. I'm hoping this will happen by the end of next week I want to get on the bike so bad, depression is started to set in, I'm using Moto GP and Gears of War on Xbox 360 to hold me for now.
