Talking The Police - Tour Info (for HDTony)

https://tickets.thepolicetour.com/

I knew Tony wanted this info.

I have to drive 5 hours to see them but it'll be worth it. I'll get a room, party in Dallas then hit the concert the next day.

Sorry bashers. I had to post it.

Ok, I'm done.

Shit, they better put some Chicago dates up somewhere. I am willing to sell a kidney to see them. Go figure, I listen to Megadeth, Cradle of Filth, Zep and The Police. Wide listening rage with no dance or country

Back in the day the Police played with such folks as Motorhead, Whitesnake and Cheap Trick. In the beginning they were kinda considered punk, hard rock or new wave. Rebels for their time.

Look at the gap in dates from st louis to toronto or somewhere up there. it doesn't take a month to get north, so supposedly they are thinking the Chicago dates will be in between there. at least thats what some people on the radio were saying today. not that I care. I can watch a police cover band at the old folks home where I ride my Harley

We all know you're lying. You can't stay out that late from the old folks home Tony. This isn't "Batteries Not Included". You used to leave Strats before the sun set. You know you have rules to follow. And stop calling your walker a Harley. It's just sad.

On another note, I too think more dates will be added. I bet they're still working out locations.

Thirsty Whale That place was the shit back in the day. Saw tons of bands there, skipped hair bands though. Saw Coroner, Burnt Offering, etc.. lots of cool thrash bands. Damn shame it's gone, so close to home and it was a true rock club. Too bad I wasn't old enough to drink before they got rid of it.
Speaking of Maiden, saw them a few months ago in Rosemont, crappy show. They played well but 95%was the new album

Their Roxanne performance at the Grammys was pretty good. I really liked that middle interlude. If they sorta re-did some of their songs like that, it'd make for a great album.

They did already and Sting re-writes tons of The Police songs all the time (since almost 99% of them he wrote and owns). He turned Roxanne into a kool, upbeat, jazz piece. It was a concert he had at his house in Italy. It was right around 9/11. He dedicated Fragile to the victims of 9/11.

They were nuts back in their day. If you ever got to see their concerts they were very energetic and fun to watch. Not necessarily punk but they have roots in punk and even reggae.

I'm just glad they're back, ya tossers.

Did hear a rumor they may play at Wrigley field. But the Cubs may have to reschedule a night game for it to work. Wait and see I guess. Never saw a concert there but imagine the sound would not be so hot but the party atmosphere would be cool.

Yes, this is true. They're working to get a concert there. Since the details are not worked out, this is why its not listed on the web site. The Cubs need to give the neighborhood a bunch of cash for a local school & one less night game in exchange (and some other stuff) for the rights to host two concerts there this summer.

I saw the Police headline on the amnesty international tour as a 'suprise', way back in the 80s (when it was supposed to be just Sting headlining) and man, that's still one of my top five all-time concerts (bryan adams, neville brothers, peter gabriel, lou reed, U2 were some of the others that played at Rosemont Horizon that night, what an awesome show).

Police might be old gits, but they're excellent musicians and I"m sure Sting's learned a few tricks in his 30+years of touring. I'm sure this would be a killer show to go see. Now, if I could just find someone to buy me a ticket....

Wow, that would be something. Parking would be pass being a bitch though! I've seen people park as far as 10 blocks away when I lived there. I bet some even further. If they play there it will be Hell for that neighborhood because fans would come out the woodwork to see them I'm bet!

I don't think that would be a good place to hold a concert.
