Expired Plates DMV

I have a car that I wasen't driving all of last year. The plates expired in Feb '06. But I have to get them renewed today at the DMV so I can drive it again. Am I going to get charged for 2 years or 1 just year? Just wondering so I know how much cash to bring.

DUDE - You are sooooooo foooked - In 2006 they passed a law that if you let them lapse, you will be fined $937.86 for the first year and $1.28 for every year after - Bend over and grab the ankle baby!!!!!

Nah man, you're just payin for 2007

Why you couldn't handle the 750!!

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

FWIW, I just registered my Taurus again and it had lapsed since September 2006, they would only renew it through September of 2007.

Just saw this post.......I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago on a set of vanity plates. They wanted me to pay the two years. I said forget it and got new plates. Vanity plates $94 X 2 = $188 versus new standard plates $78.
