This may be biased, but I found the premise interesting. This is supposed to be a non-profit study of the "Dust to Dust" cost of car ownership including the cost in energy to manufacture, operate and dispose of a car over its projected lifespan. There are some strange blips, like a Prius being less "Green" than a Hummer. $2.87 per mile vs. $2.07 for the Hummer. The Greenest vehicle in 2006 is a Scion xB at $.49 and the worst is a Maybach at $15.84 a mile! My Vette is $3.16.
There are links to Excel spreadsheets with most cars. It's interesting to see the range of costs over a car segment.
