Are burn outs illegal? If so, what is the charge?

I have a toasted front and an OK rear. I want to change both tires at the same time, so I thought I would have some fun tonight at stop lights.

looks like it

(625 ILCS 5/11‑505) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 11‑505)
Sec. 11‑505. No person shall operate any motor vehicle in such a manner as to cause or allow to be emitted squealing, screeching or other such noise from the vehicle's tires due to rapid acceleration or excessive speed around corners or other such reason.

Or Excessive Display of Acceleration, one of my favorite catch-alls. I used to get nailed with that one when I had a Pontiac Firebird 400.

yeah i got a ticket for "illegal squeeling/screeching of the tires" i'm sure they can tack on any other ticket they feel like as well.

but to me that implys that there is some sort of legal way to squeel or screech the tires.
