Where to go in Chicago?

Alright I'm a student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor buy my mom is sending the foreign exchange student ,who took over my room at home, up here. She wants to go to Chicago and visit some museums. She's really into photography and art. Any ideas on where we should stay and visit? Prefer to stay somewhere close to the museums... Might do this the same time as a track weekend and just have my g/f show her around the city. I need help!

If it's a nice day, then goto the Art Museum and afterwards she'll probably love taking pictures along Michigan of the city and Millenium Park.

+1. If she is into photography and art then she needs to see the Art Museum. The she can walk around the area taking pictures.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

The museum campus area rocks...Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum and the Adler Planeterium. You can hit all three in a day if you start early enough, and there's some great photo ops along the lake with the city as a backdrop

I agree. It might be the last time in a 100 years that they have a winning record.

Personally, I think the Shed Aquarium is the best of the museums. Tell her to bring extra batteries and memory cards/film.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!
