Although.. I will be in my early 40's by 2016.
Damn.. I'll be too old to use it anyway.

Its got its goods and bads. The goods are obviously revenue and just the worldwide attention but the bad is chicago is already a pain traffic wise as it is. Can you imagine if we had that kinda chaos here, holy hell.

All i know is if they do choose us im buying a shitload of houses and renting out all of em to rich foreigners who dont know any better

Upside - EMR could make some major headway in our "Banging YWB's Around the World" campaign. It'd also be a helluva party.

Downside - WAY too much drama up to, during, and after. I'd have to move to Plainfield just to get some peace & quiet!

That would be cool. Although I think it would be to much of a burden on the tax payers. I already pay 5k a year, I don't want it to go any higher and the way Chicago does things will be costy. How much did wepay for the Bean?

Reason - Have a software development contract related to it being in Chicago.

I hope they don't do it. No matter what the city says it's going to cost, triple it and you probably still won't be close to the actual cost. Just another bone for Dicky to toss to his construction buddies.

No, it will be way too crowded. There are too many people here already. That summer, I will have to stay away from Chicago. The congestion will be insane. We can forget about any group rides and such in Chicago around that time

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

The only reason I'm against it is because I don't want Daley to get props for this being "his idea". He's an ant-freedom, anti gun ass that is himself a criminal. He's just good at diverting attention away from himself when things go bad. Chicago's mayor is it's biggest problem.

Just think of how bad the traffic will be for that crap. Maybe they will have the Dan Ryan done by then.

I was for it, except the idea that the residents will be liable for the overexpendatures. Either way, I'll be out of the city by then. Hopefully in another state, but I'm sure I'll at least be in the burbs by then.
