Years Riding: all of them

That old Gixxer was cool.
Brief History of Bike:
1993 GSXR750, First year liquid cooled.
Bike began life in New York City. Was purchased brand new in 1993 by a freind of mine then he moved to Ft. Myers Florida. Friend rear ended a car in about 1998 or 99 side swiping the rear end of the car and tearing off the left side plastic and upper fairing. The bike was stuffed into the back of a dusty shop and never touched until I resurrected it in 2003. I brought the bike back, cleaned it up, rebuilt the carbs, replace wheel bearings, had custom made risers made for dirtbike bars. I needed money for racing, Jimm needed a bike. That motorcycle was beat to a bloody fucking pulp and still kept running, countless wheelies, burnouts, stoppies and bounces off the rev limiter. The thing still ran strong when it was sold last year. Good old bike. Jimm used to fire it up at the camp ground all night long and bounce it off the rev limiter while turning the kill switch on and off causing awesome back fires and explosions... Awesome! "Do it again Jimm!" The bike was still strong when we sold it, it shifted through the gears fine, but I'm pretty sure the top end needed to be rebuilt, I think it was losing compression.
Did you ever change the oil filter on that thing Jimm? Or did you just change the oil. The thing was a pain in the ass to change the oil. You couldn't get the filter out without loosening the header pipes. WTF is that?
Good old bike, I hope shes doing good Jimm.
