What was your favorite ride as a kid?

Mine, The Green Machine. That sucker was fast, sweet and had a spin out that would seem to last forever. It's been reintroduced as well.

I complained constantly about my mom getting me another big wheel instead of that. That she bought me one of ebay a couple of years back.

When my daughter gets older she will have a nice classic Green Machine.

My GT Interceptor. I cut grass for about 60 people to save up the 375 bucks for that thing. Man, I used to take it off sweet jumps too. Still have it too.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

+2 Big Wheel Loved that thing.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

They actually make an adult version of the Big Wheel as well as other youth rides. I don't feel like googling it but I've seen it online before. There was a website that sold it all. I'll try to find it when I get the chance.

My Hutch Trickstar in the color Purple Reign. It was a signature series, and I bought it for $500. Was stolen once, and the bike at that time was worth about $1500. Cops found the guy who stole it, I got the bike back, he did 6 months in the clink for it. That was a kick ass bike.

We had about 10 kids in the cul de sac that I grew up in with big wheels. We used to have awesome crash-up-derbies.

I had the Huffy ThunderTrail 72. I can't find it at all. But that bike was fun! It was stolen - no recovery.

Do not compare your Huffy to a Hutch Trickstar.

I will compare it. It has the industries first Mono shock on the frame. And had speed out of this world. I will compare! I will!

But no, I was just mentioning it because my bike was stolen as well.

Green didn't come until later in life. There was always green in me, but I was confused as a child... liking red mostly. Thank goodness I have seen the light!

After endless begging, cajoling and wheedling, I got a BOYS 10-speed for Christmas when I was 11... I loved that bike!

That spring, it was stolen from our basement (chained to a post, lock was cut). I swear I saw it later that week, on the bike path around Wilson, surrounded by a bunch of assholes. I'm still scarred by the experience.

My Dad replaced it with the world's ugliest hot pink 10-speed. FUGLY! Of course, that just ensured that I could leave it laying around ANYWHERE and nobody would TOUCH it.

I think I was the last generation of kids to grow up without Big Wheels.
