time to buy motion sensitive outdoor lights. that will help.

Call the cops, though, just to be safe.

Watch that bike and keep your piece nearby, but don't bring race into it, at least not on CLSB.

na race has nothin to do with it, just noticed he was. Bike is nice and safe in the living room so no worries there, my other 2 cars are there though (one in garage) There is a motion light on the front of the garage but he was in the side part of the yard

problem with the cops here is they come by, talk to him and leave. We live right by an area thats common for drunks so thye get it all the time from neighbors here (live right by an alley thats behind a restaurant)

i dont and wont carry a gun (lil brother is reason why) but i do have a bibi thats suprisingly realistic enough to put a good scare if its dark that and my sword are sleeping close by tonight. i prefer the sword over anything anyway

If the cops come to his door and he has to give a description of the guy that was in his yard, is he being a racist if he says the guy was black, mexican, or a red-neck? No, he's not. So, if he gives a description here it doesn't make him a racist here either. He even said... "na race has nothin to do with it, just noticed he was". Point is... you shouldn't have to feel bad about sayin there was a black guy in your backyard if there was. So go get your shine box, your not the CLSB moral code officer.

I never claimed to be the CLSB moral code officer, nor did I call him a racist. His post indicated that he was a "brotha man", not exactly a PC or even acceptable way of saying a black guy. I was just pointing out that the race of the guy had nothing to do with the story. If the police ask for a description that's one thing, but the trespasser's race has no relevance to the story here on the board, unless you're hanging out in his lawn looking for the guy, in which case you should probably let him know that you're in fact the "brotha" he's been posting about. That's all I said, that's all I meant.

point made, but hopefully we're all beyond that point whether someone says 'brotha man' (black guy), or honky ass mo fo (dumb white kid), we just take it as white, or black, or whatever other color people are. he was not insulting his character, it was just a black guy roaming his yard...........c'mon we're beyond racism, now we're just on to creative ways to describe people....call me whatever u want, i know what i am and won't be offended..............the rappers of the 80/90's worked so hard to break the n-word barrier didn't they?

it's hard to paint a picture with simple adjectives, ask any professional writer

Wow for being 24 I have no problem getting the shine-box reference... its a racist term for black guys, going way back to when there were shoe shine guys. They were mainly black and it was supposed to be an inferior job to shine shoes... ya got it yet?

Even heroes know when to be scared.

well at first I didn't get who he was saying that to, I thought it was Alero for saying what he said and how it was alright and he could get on his soap box and keep telling his story. When I realized it was directed at SmartDrug I realized how the insult fit but I don't agree with the use of it. He was just trying to keep the peace, you didn't have to tell him to sit down and shut up like you did
