Best place to get you tire mount and balance???

Okay, for the fact that i'm still a "Squid", i'm kinda Bike machanically challenge rite now. When i asked for help taking off my tire by myself, got some good replies and helps, especially from JD, but do not have the right tools to do it myself. ANd so i decided to spend a little extra $$$ and bring the bike to a shop and have them taking off the tire, maybe i can watch and learn, mount and balance them. My question for you guys and gals is what is the best place to take it to? Price range? the type of experience(s) you have there? Some one just post some problem with his mount and balance service at Fox Valley, so i just like to avoid some thing like that happen to me, that is all!!! Thanks in advance!!!

My only exp with tires was bringing the S4 to MCC . I dropped my bike off and waited for it to be worked on the busiest day of the year (their open house) and they still fit me in. And I was bringing the tires, not even buying theirs. Was very impressed.

I doubt any shop will let you 'watch and learn', mainly for insurance reasons.

I bet a few members here with their own changer and balancer will chime in soon....

CLP in Wheeling IL. Behind RAM. Usually takes under 30 min. He has no problem with letting you watch and learn.

Call 847-808-1377 Or just call the owners cell at 224-766-0800. Ask for Denis, tell him Dmitry sent you.

What is CLP?? and what is the address???

Thanks for all the replies and help everybody. BTW, I don't think Jim tire service let me bring my bike there, he want you to take the wheels off of the bike first and bring it to him.
