Cost to run CLSB?

I think there was a thread on this but I cant find it, anyone care to lend a hand?

Im curious the costs of CLSB aside from all the unimaginable cost of manpower if it was ever calculated.

That's all dependent on the uptime you want, the space you need and the bandwidth and capacity to handle DoSs (or just heavy load in general) you desire.

Thanks for the 411. I'm quite up to date on the issues above. There is no way this site breaks a 1TB a month, and I know Tony uses the same host of one of his site as I do, if not this one. I get 1235.6GB of Disk Space (which increases 1GB/week), 2.78TB of bandwith (which increases 16GB/week), with unlimited Databases, unlimited Domains and whole bunch of other goodies. Oh, btw, that's with a total uptime (since 25 December 2005) of 99.29% And that's at a miniscule fraction of couple of thousand of dollars

touche, I didn't include the 'misc' expenses

ps. Don't ya say "you people". Other than the rough beginning we had back in '03, which was resolved in one night (remember the stunt spot by cracker barrel? ) I caused ya no unnecessary alcohol use (to best of my knowledge, unless ya count the oval against me)

Besides the fact I never said I have 'unlimited' resources, only ones that can support this site few times over...

Bring it on biatch

Chances are your databases would be stored on a file system or a set of file systems. Those file systems have limits to the number of files and directories they can hold. Those limits are governed by the available inodes on said file system(s). They are not unlimited.

Now it's possible some places are running their own custom developed storage meshes that bust through the traditional file system limitations, but I highly doubt that.
