My new found addiction...

My Heelys!!!

No, really....they are so much fun. Just wait until Friday night when I'm drunk, and I think heeling around my court is a good idea, I'm sure I'll end up biting it.

I've been on them all day....

They make those for adults?

Do they make them for adults (or in Grasshopper's case, slightly larger than most children guys)?

Wifey says I will kill myself, but I am getting them. I used to have Soap shoes, and got really good at grinds with them.

And if you meet a chick at a bar and you are both wearing Heelys, it is a done deal.

Did you get those for your 11th birthday?

Yep. It's actually becoming a pretty popular thing I guess, from what their website and this little thing that came with the shoes said.

WOW!! I thought they were just for kids. My 9 & 7 year old daughters got them for Christmas and are pretty good on them.

Gixx, I'd like to see you use them when your drunk. That would make for some good entertainment!

I'll have to get some footage this Friday.

They have some videos on heelys website of people grinding, doing circles, and all kinds of stuff....I'm not sure I have that kind of time to get that good though.

Do any other old fucks on this board remember those sandals from the 70's that Tom McCann put out that had the wheels built into them?

These always reminded me of them

weren't those in an episode of Chips? I believe a purse snatcher was using them, shortly there after a car flipped over and someone got out just before it exploded

They do have them in adult sizes. I tried a pair on at a sporting goods store in Canada. They seem like they'd be easy enough to get used to. I decided against them cuz I thought they wouldn't be worth the humiliation from the spill that would ultimately happen. I'll stick to rollerblades for now. They do look like a hell of a lot of fun. Probably makes more sense than a Razor scooter.

Those things are fun, when I first got them in like 2002 I fell on my ass so many times cause it was just weird to me, but I got it down good. Should try'em at a "skateboard" ramp park down in grayslake, fun times..

Excuses, excuses. The real reason Gixx bought those was she needed a set of training wheels to handle that GSXR 600.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

i tried that back in the day with rollerblades. never got past first gear though. too many issues with clearance around the shifter pedal

Operating a motorcycle. So easy, even a caveman can do it. Knowing how to ride? Priceless.

OMG I am so jealous! I've been wanting a pair for years. That's so cool you got them. Everytime I see a kid with those on Mo looks over at me and sees me grinning.

Have you gone off any sweet jumps?
