We all know racing is a dangerous sport. These young amatuer flat track kids HAUL FUCKING ASS!!! No joke, I've been out and raced amatuer AMA flat track with Stevenaceracing.com and it is no joke. Some of these 10, 11, 12 year old kids have BIG talent.

This is a perfect example of why the Wegman Benefit fund was created and why the Red Flag Fund exists today. It raises money for racers and families just like this who fall victim to the dark side of racing. I hope they at least had air fence at the track he crashed at. Those damn hay bails along the walls are just as hard as the fucking wall when you crash against them, trust me I know.

God rest his soul and prayers sent to his family. God Speed. That's rough, expecially being how old the little dude was. Damn! Gives me the goose bumps all over.

My space page dedicated to him

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ndid=188011997

Another article from Cycle News, it appears he got into a nasty tank slapper and then ran into the wall. Not a lot if any run off in flat track.

There are a bunch of people that know him and his family in this thread.

RIP

Amature Flattracking at 10 at speeds that can kill you. I don't want to make more of it than appropriate and don't want to jack the thread, but sometimes I wonder how hard and fast parents push kids in potentially dangerous sports.

Anyway...

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Poor little guy. Rest in peace.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Unfortunately, this is part of Flattrack...they are in desperate need of Air Fence and other safety measures, especially on the local level. I don't know the details in this case, but it's a major problem for the sport based on the venues they use. It is imo the most dangerous form of motorcycle racing for that reason. I love it, flattrack is part of how i grew up and it hits me hard when this happens, especially a case like this. The kid was already well known within the community and was about to start roadracing as far as I knew.

Being prepped to be THE next big thing and then this. Very sad.

Godspeed little brother.
