Many times! It is right outside of Peoria. Very cool place to go see. I believe that the guy who started it, last name Rutherford passed a little while ago. There was a big push for the state to take it over and I think that they finally did. All that being said, it's probably been at least 10 years since I've been there.

I too have been there many times. We used to take field trips there. Pretty cool place, not you're typical zoo, actually you get to see wildlife that is native to Illinois.

When I was about 13 or 14 years old, my dad got us the hook up through some friends of friends. We got to go in to the park after hours and camp in the "out back" area. We were basically camping behind the field where the Buffalo stay, near some train car out in the middle of nowhere. There was a small lake back there that had some of the best fishing I have ever done. Ah....memories!
