4,273 miles in just eight and a half days

"His right shoulder hurt, and his face was wind-burned. Other than that, Max Harn Jr. looked astonishingly good for someone who'd just driven 4,273 miles on a motorcycle -- in, if you can believe this, just eight and a half days..."

lol ...it is weak all the way around!

A 3600 miles in 5 days is not a lot - his original goal
B He did not even make his goal
C 4200 miles in 8 days is even worse!

The whole story is laughable

The article says something about needing a dual sport bike next time. So perhaps the trip wasn't all highway/paved road miles?

I don't think one does 50+ mph off road?

Personally if I were to do a cross country trip, I'd like to stop and visit various destinations along the way. Putting a time table on such a trip just hinders this and rushes things.
