Why all the squ!ds around here?

In the past 2-3 days it's been nice out EVERY SPORT BIKE RIDER is wearing a tank top, shorts, sunglasses, and lowtop shoes... wtf gives? Then you see the Cruiser guys wearing leather jackets, helmets, sunglasses, and boots... Obviously goes to show that there on it for fun and saftey not go fast, no saftey and attempt to pick up chicks...

I think last year the temps might have been a bit milder which is why you saw less folks without gear until later in the season. I recall doing a trackday towards the end of may and being perfectly comfy keeping my suit on the entire time. But I have noticed a fair amount of bikes already with the helmet strapped to the side...usually I don't notice that till later.

Squids always appear more at the beginning of the season and then either they crash or they get smart and put gear on around mid season... I've actually noticed more people riding with their helmet on the side of their bike so far this year... hmmm... never payed attention before I guess, but there are a ton of morons that do that! lol.

Interesting tho about the cruisers... I have probably only seen a handful of cruisers ever wear a helmet...

I still don't understand why people wear leather motorcycle jackets with no helmet. Makes no sense to me.

Yea I've noticed that a bit too, not in that time frame, but before. I figure we need more organs in the donor system anyway. As long as they can salvage a liver and kidneys we should be fine.

C'mon ya gotta admit even for the squidly riders it's early to be out. Usually they need a couple solid weeks of riding with gear to realize that they are still invincible from the previous season and strip down. Plus we all know and have agreed that helmets provide horrible aerodynamics as well as blocking up to 45% of your peripheral vision so it's understandable to keep them off as early as possible.

I think its hilarious.

You know what's even more funny? The guys that wear ski goggles or dirtbike goggles with no helmet. I think that is hilarious. Rachel calls them swimming goggles, all they need is a snorkle and some floaties. All set.

You need to open up your vents on your helmet then!! Or, if its so hot that the vents are doing enough, just open up your visor a little bit... it's still better than riding without a helmet! Plus, the padding in the helmet absorbs some of the sweat........ yummy...
