I've also gone with Weber. Can't remember the model since it's been a few years now. I believe it's something like a Genesis 2000 series...

charcoal is nice, but I'm not a big plan ahead person. I want to fire up the grill and get a burger or hotdog within a few minutes, not 30-60 minutes so it's LP for me

Weber performer series, Charcoal is the only way to go. I also have a kenmore gas for quick meals, but when I'm serious about my grilling the weber gets fired up.

In fact I've got a full slab of ribs out there right now slow roasting with a dry rub, and hickory wood chips in the coals.

Ah there it is, brings a tear to my eye. SO about those ribs, I'm getting off in 8 min so that means that I'll be over in about 40 min.

The rocks are for heat retension and even heat distribution.

Two Weber CHARCOAL Grills! A big one and a little Smokey Joe.

IMO, a gas grill is the same as the broiler in my oven. Charcoal is the only way to go for true barbecue flavor.

I really like my Weber Q:

I typically only grill for 1 or 2 people, but I can pack on the meat if need be. It's a great little setup that is also portable and runs off either the small blue tanks or a standard propane tank.
