I offered them $32.74, and they turned me down.

but aren't they suppose to go back into debt until around 2009? Because of medical, or pensions, and all that crap until they clear it up? Don't get me wrong, it'll be nice to get rid of all that debt right away but they still need to turn things around a little or the same thing is going to happen.

Wow, they only lost 19% per year for 9 years on that deal. Ouch!

I never saw the fit. Mercedes has poor reliability too. Frankly, after my last stab at a Chrysler in 95 I swore I would never, never, never buy another car from them. It will take major changes with years of improvements and a specifice vehicle to get me to even look at them.

Sorry Moparboy, they dug themselves into a deep hole for 40 years and unless they are bought by Japan I don't think they can dig themselves out.

I think there is a reason as to why Japan didn't buy them in the 1st place.

I have a Grand Cherokee, going on 2 years and 30K Miles.

Flawless so far.

I have to say I was concerned when I bought it as to it's reliability
and such...... but it's been as good as my last two Acuras.

My partner had an 02 Grand Cherokee. It was in and out of the shop a lot. I think he went through 2 transmissions and a differential in 5 years and 60k. All costs were covered under his extended warranty. The month before the warranty was to expire, it was history.

He is now in a Lexus.
