helmet help

Anyone know which shoei model the helmet is on the left?

It's used - how much would you pay for it?

I have no clue what model it is. It's probably at least a few seasons old though. Shoei comes out with so many designs here and in Europe that It would be hard to tell unless somebody actually owned one. My guess would be an early RF model. I wouldn't buy a used helmet, you never know what its been through.

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil,

'The Light at the End of the Tunnel' has been turned off.

I'd pay no more than $50. Of course I am notorious for lowballing people.

Looks like a Shoei TZ-R model. I had one similar to it: same shell and chrome faceshield, but different graphics.

Personally Gregory, I would not get a helmet that is more than 3 years old. The material decays over time and may not be protecting you 100%. So look at the "born on" date.

The TZ-R is a decent helmet. I crash tested a solid black one. It is maoisn approved. It is a tad on the heavy side though. I was always complaining about neck pains after long rides. My X11 is much lighter and more comfortable.

THanks for the tip, i'm just being a cheap ass.. I still ahve my old HJC helmet from last year.. it's XL though, I think my noggin fits L perfectly. I'm going to buy a brand new shoei online after I try on some helmets at CCC.

I wouldn't buy a used helmet....it's like buying used underwear...yucky! Looks like a TZ-R to me. Brand new, nice graphics....375 including shipping, helmetharbor.com I'm with Mao on this...offer $50 and no more....you can always remove and wash the liner. Mao must be weak, cause I have worn a TZ-R helmet for 12 hours straight....no neck pain Ohhh I'll back Mao on they crash well

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

Personally would never buy a used helmet. Spend the cash and go new even if it is a HJC

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!
