Reverse commute into IN

Does anyone drive from downtown into Indiana weekday mornings? Leaving from South Loop, I would take Cermak to 90/94 then the Skyway into Indiana, but I'm wondering how bad southbound traffic is on 90/94 due to all that construction. I rarely don't drive that direction, so if the higway is bad maybe I should stay on local streets until after 90 and 94 split? I have a long drive that day and really don't want to start it out in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

What would be the best time to leave in the AM if I want to miss all that crap?

What time do you have to be there?

Doesn't matter, I have a long drive and I can leave early or late.

doesn't really matter, traffic in that direction isn't really bad until 3pm or so. I take the Ryan to the Skyway all the time without delays, also LSD to Stoney Island is a breeze, just a few more lights. I can leave my house at 3600 n LSD and be on the skyway in about 20-25 mins at 8:30 AM.
