Was in an accident today...

Some dumb lady decided to turn into my lane today... messed up the front of my caddy pretty bad... There were two turn lanes. She goes from the inside lane to the outside lane where i just happened to be. I go up to her car and ask if she is okay and she starts yelling at me asking me why I hit her... I was pretty nice about it and in my snotty little way I explained to her that there are two lanes to turn left and she decided she didnt like hers...
Whe the police got there she tol the cop she used her signal to change to the right lane in the middle of the intersection... The cop smiled and wrote her up... Now I have a banged up car and to top it all off my shoulders ache from the hit...

for those that know the area, i was heading north onto washington from naper blvd... Left hander. In naperville... Home of the worst drivers in the country.

Fat bitch.

People drive like ass nowadays.

Between cell phones, i-pods, nav systems and just being dumbasses
that make excuses for EVERYTHING it SUCKS to drive in traffic.

Almost wrecked the Jeep ( I never have close calls ) on the way home from
Putnam last weekend when someone got confused at the open road tolling
deal and STOPPED in the 2nd lane from the left. A minivan cab STOPPED
in the lane an I had to do a full ABS stop / Lanechange into the left lane.

Missed the cab by oh like 2 inches @ 40+ MPH.... I have no idea why the
Jeep didn't loop given that it had 2000 lbs of trailer / bikes pushing it.

Another inch or two it would have been a massive hit, we are so lucky.

Thanks for the stability assist and ABS.... and I *NEVER* rely on that stuff.

Sorry bout your caddy dude.

Sad to hear about the car and your shoulders.

You know.. could her moving into your lane be considered assault with a deadly weapon? Hmm......

Everyone Exaggerates

Ouch! Glad you're ok, but sucks about the V! I'd be concerned about the structural integrity of the V after an accident like that. You know, it may not be safe to drive anymore. You better leave it with me and I'll make sure it's safe for you to drive. No, no, it's no inconvenience at all, I would be glad to help out a fellow biker.

The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Shitty man, I was riding with my friend the other week when we got rear ended, the bitch got out and started screaming that he wasn't driving defensively. After about 5 minutes of verbal abuse I flipped out and started screaming back, she returned to her car sobbing, with her kids sobbing and then she asked the police if they'd arrest me for assault. There was someone else on the scene who stuck around and they got me off the hook, but I about murdered the bitch. Naperville drivers who think everyone else is to blame.

That sucks, especially with how much you like that car.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

I know this does not help, but I never trust those 2 turn lanes. There is one right outside where I live on north ave and county farm. If I count how many times when someone went over from the insdie turn lane to outside turn lane, I won't be alive to talk about it even I was given 9 lives like a cat.
I always stagger myself with the car next by me, puposely turn slower or faster so I don't have a car next by me. If I was the first one, I normally go faster so I can clear it without anyone get in my way. This does not work everytime, but I always try to stay away from getting involved with others' mistakes. That being said, sorry about the LS2.

I know exactly where you got hit. I'm just north of 87th on Washington. That turn lane you got hit in kinda sucks. The city needs to paint dashed lines through the turn so people don't drift into the other lane like she did to you.

F*ckin' dumb bitch. Make sure you go to the doc, get check out, and get a lawyer. Really sorry to hear about your Caddy.

+1 for the crappy drivers in Naperville. When my lawsuit is over I'll start a thread about what happened to me.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Good advice. There is an intersection like this near my home and try to do this everytime through there because I've been cut off too many times. People need to pay more attention to signs and lane markings. That's assuming they are properly marked....

Sorry about your car dude.
