Cantcha tell i'm bored??

Okok, forget last thread w/laptops lol. Waste of my moola, and not as fun as what i would rather do all summer....

My Gf wants to be able to ride, and ride with me for that matter, and my bike is waaay to big for her. I was thinking of looking for a cool old bike that i could fix up and let her ride. Any specific models/makes that are pretty cheap to find, not too powerful (pretty small actually), and are known as being reliable?

I figure i love fixing stuff up, and what better way to do it than like this eh? I'm assuming you can find a running, but not perfect (Ok to crappy) condition older bike for ~600? Anything i should look for in particular with older stuff? Only stuff i know about is some newer bikes, but mostly jsut mine lol

You should know the answer to this already. Get an older 250 or 500. I bought my gf a '95 EX500 for $1400 one year, then sold it the next year for $1500.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

you can probablly find a good Rebel 200 for under a grand. There's nothing that can possibly go wrong with them. It's motor, a seat, and two wheels.

Hmmmm, that might be too much ride for me on a new bike.. I haven't rode in quite a while too =P Might be a tad rusty. If you don't end up going to that Starved Rock ride and wanna setup a quick blast - maybe with Mao... I'm totally up for it.

Just take your time. The thing i would worry about the most is the long ass ride on 88 towards home, now THAT's a bitch. And Mo, my buddy works at CDW, don't make me call him and hunt you down.

I am sure he is smarter then you look. I am sure he would have only his name on the title. And he is not buying a $5k bike. More like $500.
