02 celica?

pros? cons? i really like the interior and, well, the exterior too.. i kinda like the tiburon, but i dont like how it looks as much and i dont think it would last as long as a toyota, any thoughts?
im looking for a new car if you couldnt tell.

I've driven the celica and the tiburon. The tiburon seems too small, I'm not that tall but I was hitting my knee on the steering wheel every time I'd let out the clutch.

Toyota's are good cars but I'm just not a big fan of the celica. check out edmunds.com for more info on both

Do it!

Celicas are great cars. They last forever. That's the next care I want once the Corn-holla dies -- wait, it will never die, it's a Toyota!

I'll say it again. Can't go wrong with a Toyota. For reliable transportation that won't turn into a rattling turd after 50,000 miles they're your best bet.

haha NOT like my ford? but hey it still runs at 150,000 miles, and makes a wide variety of noises, with a replaced engine and its third transmission, but i gotta admit, i so didnt think it would still be running by now.

You know you want the Prelude

Can't go wrong with Celicas. The GT-S was pretty quick if you wind out the gears.

Don't bother getting the GT-S unless it's the 6 speed and you plan on driving it like you stole it. The GT-S auto had sucky gearing so it could not stay in lift, a 40HP deficit. You are better off getting a GT 5 speed then a GT-S auto.

+1, that's why I said if you wind out the gears. Even the 6-speed GT-S was said to have weird gearing. I sat in one at the autoshow when this last generation debuted but I never drove one.

Besides, if you buy almost any small displacement car with an automatic, you're just asking to go tediously slow. Unless it's the DSG GTI or something modified.

i dont intend on the gts, i need better gas mileage and a cheaper price, plus there werent too many around, i found a couple w/ decent pricing from the same dealer, they were the same car exac tly but only one had 31000 miles and one had 58000 and the one w/ less was only 500$ more.

RSX type-S 03 should be around 15K and plus you can always talk down the price of used cars

$15K for a used Celica GT is too much. Personally I would go for a Corolla. Same focking thing just not as sporty looking.

RSX > Tc > Celica > Tiburon

If you're spending $15k, you can get a brand new Tc for less than a couple grand more.

My problem with the tC, mind you I'm one that wants to drive my car 'til it's 13 years old, is that it's a new design and I've had bad luck with cars that are new on the market. You don't know how long they'll be making them and you don't know if you'll be able to get parts later on.

I bought the Corolla because they've been making them for 20+ years and they'll keep on making them/their parts. The Celica is the same story.

TiffanieMarie, I had an 03 Celica and I really liked it. Fun car to drive, cool interior, and pretty slick exterior. I had the GTS with the big ol fin and the rocker panels and stuff. The bad thing was I only had it for a day. My co-signer backed out the day after I took delivery. The good thing is that with the extra money I had left over I was able to my first sportbike.

But for the day I had it I liked it a lot.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
