Wow this smiley actually applies.

Saw the movie It was most excellent.

Very dark for those of you with kids it may be too intense.

The movie was entertaining, but was totally different from the books. They took the longest book, and made it into the shortest movie. Fucking Hollywood. A lot of shit must be on the cutting room floor.

Books and movies are two different things to me.

I thought Goblet of fire was the best book but hate the movie.

Actually, I don't get why people say the movie is good (some go as far as saying it is the second best). I think this is the worst Harry Potter movie to date. It is bad for many reasons: script, director's work, soundtrack, acting. I dunno, may be I'll need to see it once again to "get it" but so far I think it sucks.

What I specifically hated is the lack of consistent flow between the scenes. It feels like a bunch of short clips stitched together.

It's as if George Lucas got a hold of it. Too choppy and no flow.

They need to get back Columbus as director from films 1&2

You could tell none of the actors wanted to be in thos movie. They seemed very out of place.

I thought it was pretty good. They tried to keep it to the book, and they assume everyone who goes to see the movie has read the books.

There were parts that were included from the book, but changed a bit to go with the movie and I thought they incorporated it well.

All I know is that Saturday the 21st, I will be completely useless the whole day.

I liked it, and what HP movie hasn't been completely shortened from the book???? The Order is the longest book, so I knew it was going to cut out a lot. The ending of this one was good, and I really enjoyed it. Tonks was one of my faves in the book and I was a little disappointed that we barely got to see her in the movie. I think Harry, or whatever his real name is has gotten to be a much better actor, and did a really good job. My favorite as far as the movies is Chamber of Secrets or Prisoner of Azkaban. I've enjoyed all the books, and I can't really decide which one I liked best. I cannot WAIT until Saturday, I've had that bitch on reserve from Amazon since day 1!!!!

Can we mark this thread spoiler??? I have a question about the movie, but my question would give away what happens in the end.

The Archway was one of the defense mechanisms in the Ministry. Anyone who passes through it dies.

Sirius blocked the death curse, but it pushed him INTO the archway...which then pulls his life away. This is why Lupin holds Harry back, because he knows Harry will die too if he goes after Sirius *through* the archway.
