Cool Movie Night at the Tivoli?

If you've never been to the Tivoli theater in Downers Grove, it's a sight to see. The Tivoli was the second "talkie" theater in the United States, and just celebrated their 75th Anniversary. The theater is fully updated and has some of the best sound in the Midwest, and has painfully been restored over the years. Even includes a pipe organ before the shows on Friday and Saturday.

That said, how about JAWS on the big screen!!

http://www.classiccinemas.com/movies/?movie_id=505

I think I'm going to go, assuming work doesn't screw me over.

Anyone else maybe interested?

Ahh, come on! All the lovely women of CLSB are welcome! Peanut is probably going to be there, assuming she doesn't get roped into working that night.

I'm terribly excited to see JAWS on the big screen! I've seen all sorts of classic films on the big screen at the Tivoli. Every winter they do a week of classics that can be anything from Gone with the Wind, to Shane, to Citizen Kane.

You *have* to come...bike or not!

Cool

Ride it or cage it, I'm gonna be there! Nothing like JAWS on the big screen!!

http://www.classiccinemas.com/theatr...p?THEATRE_ID=3

Plenty of parking at or around the Theater.

Showtime is at 7:30PM, I'm going to be there around 6:45PM to try and get my favorite seats.

How many seats should I be holding for you all?

she really never saw it before? geez you might have to introduce her to the rest of em!

oh and as a side note, i dont know if you two knew... but it took me quite some time to notice that my fly was pretty much open for a showtime encore. i hope im the only one that noticed, that shit was probably open all night

Wow, I didn't know you felt that way about Spielberg movies that your fly pops open!

No, sorry dude, I would have said something had I noticed.

As for Brie...she was born in '84, and I think she's lived under a rock till the past few years. She has A LOT of catching up to do movie wise.

i was born in 84 too, thats no excuse!

yea i hadnt expected either of you to notice, that would mean you were checking me out. and i dont feel like going to find that brokeback picture again.

i dunno what was up with that auction though, but that old man i had to sit next to couldnt shut up all night. and him and his wife had the kidneys the size of beans getting up and down up and down. that was a neat theatre though, had a very vintage feel to it, and i couldnt complain with 2 cute girls in dresses holding snack trays as you enter.

Yeah, the girls in prom dresses serving food was kinda weird.

I bet I could have gotten more people to show up had I told them they serve alcohol for these special showings.

Sorry to have made you sit next to those old folks...they asked very nicely that if my friends show up, not to seat a tall guy in front of them...I took one look at you and I'm like...uh...would you mind sitting there instead?
