Just inquiring. Out of warranty in the Audi, still got 13k to pay, kbb has my car for about the same price, i figure, why not start fresh, new car, no problems (knocks on wood), and less gas burnage. I've seen a few of MS3's on the street and i dig, plus, it's got 4 doors for the honeydips. iI'll take her for a test drive and see what happens.

Negative. I'm gonna want to mod it, i'm sure i'll do the same to this IF i get one, but since it's new i assume there's not much on the market. Maybe wheels and tint or something, but that's about it. Oh yeah, maybe lower it lol and an exhaaust.

Give Russell a call at Biggers Mazda in Elgin. Do NOT call the Schaumburg Mazda.

I have a Mazdaspeed6 and love it. Please elaborate.

Anyways, coming from an Audi I think you'll find the MS3 a little too boy-racer. The MS6 is much more grown-up and the interior is much nicer, with many more features. There is a good aftermarket for both cars. The MS6 has the jump start, but there are places (like Cobb) that are making a ton of parts for the MS3 already.

Roger. I'll call ya once i get some #'s from other dealers. The CEL popped up in the A6, purge valve, just got that fucker replaced this year too!! Not an expensive part but i have a feeling it's going downhill from here.

go with the Speed6...it's about the same size as your a6 and still pretty nice. I was very close to buying one, it's a tight ride.

I agree the speed6 is a nicer car and maybe an easier transition from the A6 but if you are going to do some modding and are looking to have fun on the highway, the speed3 may be a better pick since it is lighter and has less drive train power loss. Just have to learn to take it easy off the line

Yeah, plus i'm lovin' the rear end of that MS3! Fully loaded Sport touring edition goes for about 27k, msrp for MS6 is at 28k. Also, since i've had the A6 i've been driving like a grandpa, so speed is not really an interest anymore, i just want something pimp right outta the dealer, and this bugger caught my eye (plus i rarely see them on the street). We'll see though, i gotta find out how much they'll take this fat whore for... Thanks again. errbody.

We took my MS Miata to a Mazda event at Autobahn a couple weeks ago. They had a couple MS3's out on the track and everybody came back saying they were a total hoot to drive. I'd actually love to trade in for one, if we didn't have the Xterra... although I loves me some rear wheel drive... 'specially when it snows.

that will never happen, the handling and grip is too good in the evo, now with all that understeering the STI does, it is possible.

Bout time you got rid of the A6, its a boat anyway, and maybe in the MS3 you will actually be able to see the road over the steering wheel!

MS3 Interior:

One thing I will say is that the Navigation system in the MS3, from what I understand, is much better. The Gen1 system in my MS6 has no touch screen or voice-control, so basically it's a huge pain in the ass to enter destinations. The seats in the MS3 also have much more bolstering. I'd love to get a set for my 6, but the are way too expensive to acquire separately.

Als, I have not test-driven a MS3, but I can only imagine my powerplant in a FWD, lighter car. It must [email protected]#$ move. The 2.3L DISI has stupid torque, toss it into 3rd or 4th and hit a freeway onramp: 30-100mph in a smooth, Grand Touring dash.

I'm also getting 24mpg average with not even 3000 miles on the odometer yet, so I'd expect around the same for the MS3.
