did they ever release that movie the Dark Crysal on dvd? Thats where they lifted the intro from this song right? Its not in the filter version but the original trip like I do song had that, "another world, another time, in an age of wonder" intro stuff on it.

Not sure - The Filter/TCM mix is from the soundtrack from "Species" and they tended to start down that road - X Files stuff and movie stuff

Gotta love Richie's feelings towards his father

i just looked it up, its off the spawn soundtrack. apparently the whole soundtrack is pairings similar to that, I must investigate this sountrack further. The movie was sucky but perhaps the soundtrack is redeeming. Stuff like this sneakerpimps/marilynmanson track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jM0SDqFWxXc

I know the original TCM version had this cool sinister sounding intro that I'm pretty sure was lifted from the Dark Crystal movie of the early 80s. "once more, they will replenish themselves, through the power of their source....the crystal.....the crystal". good shit.

Spawn, thats right, got confused - Still pre starbucks bro - I love TCM and am a huge Filter fan too - Gino is a buddy of mine and one down to earth cat - Richie is out there man - Tooooooo many needles - Gino was the one that took them in the direction of the Movie stuff - Richie had a hard time getting out of the "industrial" stage as he was also part of that scene in Chicago - He had a real tough time letting go of "control of the band" when he saw what Gino was doing andd the success they were having

All and all though, they are aces in my book

I have a couple filter albums, I damn near wore em out. As for the crystal, I love them even more but I tend to really enjoy good electronic music.

and I got a leg up on you, woke at 8am this morning to hit the gym and I just finished my starbucks so I'm just hitting level.
