I got sprayed by a skunk

and it really really stinks.

I have never seen a skunk in person let alone in Wood Dale. I was walking home form the bar at about 1am and i thought i saw a rabbit and i figured it was no big deal. I guess i spooked it and i got sprayed.

Even the change that was in my pocket stinks my cell phone stinks and my clothes are really bad. I made the mistake of tossing my pants on my bed so that smells. After a night at the bar the smell of skunk can make you want to vomit.

So after having to apologize to every one i had contact with today about the odd smell coming form me just letting everyone know that you should not get sprayed by a skunk.

My dog's have been skunked several times. They however were sober.

Go to a pet store...ask for Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover. Buy a gallon and take a bath in it. Rinse and repeat as needed.

I had a car that nailed a skunk, it got all torn up and caught on the exhaust. On a hot day the smell always came back, I had to sell it.

Lemon juice, tomato juice or any other acid will take care of it. I'm sure the stuff from the pet store works the best though.

the good news if you can call it that is that my clothes took most of the spray. my hands stink and my leg where my sock was. now my room has a funk to it. but the bottle of frabreeze has helped with that.

so lots of scrubbing in the shower has taken away most of the super bad stench. i get the occasional wiff of nasty but i may have to get some lemon or tomato juice to get it off my hands.

when a dog or cat gets sprayed all of the body hair really soaks up the nasty smell so it is probably worse for an animal.

+1 - I dont go hunting with out it
also, dont wait, the skunk oil absorbs and is harder to get off.
