Your Harry Potter ###SPOILERS####
POSSIBLE SPOILERS
I thought the story was pretty good a bit too drawn out. I like all the twists at the end I thought the Kings Cross scene was a little bit too neat.
Anyone else have any thoughts?
I would say this was my third favorite.
I was disappointed because they never said what jobs they were doing. My prediction from the beginning was that he would teach Defending Against the Dark Arts.
I give it:
out of 5

I liked it a lot. The King Cross scene reminded me of Neo talking to Architect in Matrix, but it was still very good.
I re-read the last hundred something pages couple of times already
.
Disappointed about the book not telling about the jobs as well. And I wish there was a more detailed description of what others were doing during the battle for Hogwarts.
But, really, I do not think it could be any better.

It was good. I wish that they would have given more details about the life after Hogwarts but it was still a good book. Read it twice now. The best outta the series was #4 hands down.

I thought that the middle of the book really sucked. Between when they got the locket and found the sword was really boring.

The death count was satisfactory however the quality of kills left much to be desired. I was really hoping for a good death by torture. Oh well....
Overall, I'd say it was a decent ending. The Snape story was delivered well but I was hoping he would have a better ending himself. She also could have done a better job on Dumbledore's past which I thought was boring as hell.

I liked it! The ending had so many twists to it, which I found amusing. You sit there thinking she really was going to kill Harry off, and then you think he's dead, but he's really not dead.....I liked the Snape story, because I really didn't know what to think of him, at times I believed he was good and he was Dumbledores spy, but then other times I didn't. I really thought Harry, Ron, or Hermoine were going to get it. I liked the way it started action right from the get go. It was definitely action packed and had me at times reader faster and faster, because I didn't know what was going to happen. I liked all the kid names at the end.....I'm kinda sad that it's all over with
I wonder how long this movie will be????

She also really glossed over what happens to the death eaters, especially the Malfoys. Clearly Draco and Harry become civil, which leads me to believe that Dracos parents aren't sitting in prison... which they should be. There's no way Potter should feel safe if there are still death eaters around. Even without big daddy V leading the pack, they'd want him dead.
Mrs Weasley going all feral was pretty cool.
Letting the big ass dragon go... not cool, at least make use of the worthless Weasley.
My wife is going to kill me when she finishes the book. My predictions before reading it:
1) Potter will die and come back to life
2) Snape is a friend, but will probably kill someone early on in front of Voldemort, and save that person from a horrid death.
3) Dumbledore will return to give advice, Obi-wan style
4) Voldemort will be given the opportunity for redemption
5) Draco will be essential in Voldemort's final defeat.
6) One of the twins, Snape, Mad-Eye and whoever is currently teaching Defense against the Dark Arts... will die.
7) Deathly Hallows refers to an item, not a place.

I was right about a lot of it, ad think the book could have been 350 pages long. OOTP was by far the best book I still have some questions.
1) Who the fuck is Crookshanks? Too smart to just be a cat.
2) What profession did HP go into? Dropout (just like me
)
3) Mcgonagall... who hit it?
I used to have gliders also. Cute little guys. I had two males, then a female, and she was preggers with a male.

I got paid to read this book suckers!!! Alright, it was a cloudy day and no one was the pool so I used it to pass the time. What the hell, 3/4 of the freakin book was Harry and Hermoine wandering around from wooded area to wooded area, at least let him hit it once. I would've liked the final battle to have eclipsed the final battle from Half-Blood. Too general and vague, not enough details of the ass kickings handed out. Harry should've gone off on V too, torture his ass for awhile, let all the familys fuck with him for awhile. He got it from a backfired curse...again, how creative.
The Dumbledore scene from Kings Cross was completely like the Matrix scene as was pointed out. Can't anyone come up with anything original?
I didn't really enjoy a complete book from the series, I really liked the ending of Half-Blood, the ending of DH was pretty good. What the hell was with Harry, kid just got whinier through the books, how bout getting some matury at some point and stop flipping on people?
Overall I'd give the series a 7.5/10, probably won't read it again

I really enjoyed the book and am glad the way it came out. I know its cliche, but I didn't want to see any of the 3 die. I think she ended it in a very classy way especially with the epilogue.
I agree with gixx, towards the end I just couldn't put it down, I just kept reading and reading! It was like at the end of OOTP, where they entered the ministry and it was just straight action!
I am also glad that Snape was vindicated. His character was well thought out and played.
I was hoping harry would pull some sectumsempra on voldamort in remembrance of Snape. Alas, still the ending I was hoping for.
Also glad that Neville finally got to kick ass. And when Mrs. Weasly dueled with Bellatrix and was like "you bitch!!!" That part was awesome!
I am sad to see it end, no more waiting patiently for another book, however we still have the movies to look forward to, and seem to usually be about 2 years apart. So maybe around 09 for Half-blood prince.

Disappointed about the book not telling about the jobs as well. And I wish there was a more detailed description of what others were doing during the battle for Hogwarts.
But, really, I do not think it could be any better.
