Music that doesn't suck

Disclaimer: If your favorite artists are Nickelback, fiddy cent, Linkin Park, or Sum41 then go back now.

If anyone is into indie rock bands (think Sirius Left of Center) here's a bunch of cool stuff I've found over the past few months, some old, some new. I was totally stuck in my iPod for a while and after getting the new Mazda w/ Sirius I started finding a bunch of new music.

Anyways, these bands are definitely worth checking out:
Matt Pond PA
Pedro the Lion
Kaiser Chiefs
LCD Soundsystem
Silversun Pickups
Cold War Kids
Muse
TV on the Radio
Thunderbirds are Now!
Calla
The Shore
Ladytron

I have had the "Muse" discussion wioth Vcook a few times

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"

the new muse album sounds like they spent their off time listening to old queen albums on repeat.

The Muse I do like. The others I have no idea what they are, but at least I don't like any of the crap you first mentioned.

If my calculations are correct, this will create ice... OH NO, KILLER MUSTARD GAS!

indie are small independent lables because large record companies won't sign the bands. The thing is a lot of the indie labels are owned by the big companies. The other thing is if the band does get signed by a big company their fans will accuse them of selling out. Even though the whole point of being in a band is to get rich and get laid.
