RIP

this was the first time i wasn't able to go in years to the show. it's been a highlight of my summer for a looooooong time. it's an unfortunate accident and i hope the families know how much the pilots care about that show and the attendants.

on a brighter note, i hope everybody that goes has fun! i have a soft spot for the business jets myself, but absolutely love going to oshkosh. the only thing that has ever come close was getting the chance to visit van nuys airport.

Aight so I just got back last nite about 11pm from the air show. I must say I am sore this morning...but not muscle sore... my forehead is ON FIRE!!! I forgot the sunblock and the sun pwn3d me bad on the forehead. I did get a sexy tan tho

Anyways, I have 7 pages FULL of pictures from the air show. I also have video of the Aeroshell acrobatic team, F/A-22 Raptor, old WWII bombers, B-2 Stealth Bomber fly-by, and a C-17 Globemaster III which was amazing that a plane that weighs so much could stop in 1,200 feet...just amazing...

I'll have the vids up sometime soon.

Heres all the pics tho!!! http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...shkosh%202007/

EDIT: Try the link above. I think I posted the wrong one on accident! oops!

They actually had 3 P-51's fly over while they played a song in memory of the pilot that died Friday... I thought that was just awesome.

His 3 buddies flew over because they used to call themselves the Flying 5 and Alive...and now there down to 3...so they took honors in flying over the crowd to show the dedication and love to the one that died and the world is now 2 P-51 down and out in original mfgr. form.

I'm on vacation enjoying my hobby (which is riding motorcycles). I'm on this MOTORCYCLE board to check for rides, track days and just about any thing I can find about motorcycles.

Then shut up and go ride. I am enjoying reading about the show in this OPEN forum and since the subject says Airshow, why did you bother to click on it?Here's your sign!

Whoaaa, whoaaaa,

Let me explain my first post; I was saying that the last thing I want to see are airplanes on my vacation that's why I didn't go to Oshkosh this year. I have no problem with this topic being in an open forum I have a problem when the author calling me a dummy.

i just got back from oshkosh but i didnt get there in time for the crash. sucks that it happened.

weekend was good though, lots of alcohol, sun almost got rid of my gauntlet lines! and some kids let me ride their quad around the camp at 3am. got some guy to yell "SHUT THE FUCK UP AND QUIT RIDING THAT SHIT!" in one of the campsites. when they heard security was comin the kids ran leaving me with the quad in front of our campsite. so my friends and i pushed it over into some other guys campsite but they eventually came back and took it.

From this angle, it looks like he called you a dummy after you made a pissy-sounding post about not wanting to see airplanes. Like he had to clear it with you first? Take a deep breath and let the moderators control the content.

Again, I should have been more clear about the first post. I don't want to see airplanes while I'm on vacation and that is the reason why I DID NOT go to Oshkosh. I have NO Problem people posting anything here. Sorry for the confusion.

Was there any B-17's up there? I was at a family BBQ in Rogers Park and one fly over going to downtown and then coming back out it seemed.
