Talking Got my water softener installed last night

Wow what a difference it makes. Clean water and my wife only has to use a half bottle of shampoo when she washes her hair.

Thanks to Mike, a.k.a. sbmike r2, for sending his buddy over to install it on the side. I had him re-route a few pipes to so everything I wanted softened was and everything I didn't wasn't. I spent a fraction of the cost I would have spent on the Culligan or Aquative systems I was looking at and results are very similar to the ones Aquativa showed me on the in home presentation. It turns out the unit I have is a pretty good one already. Glad I didn't sell.

Now I got plenty of $$$$ left over for the reverse osmosis system I want to put in later.

Actually that was 5k$ . Sorry Eric

Now I gotta figure out how to set this thing. I've been reading about it on the net. I have a digital clock but the only button on the display sets the clock. I think I have to look behind it for gears. I think the settings are mechanical. It's set now to regenerate every night at 2am. I've been asking around the neighborhood and people say it works good to regenerated every four days and crank the salt level all the way down. Hmmmmmm anybody else have a control unit like mine????

Is that a whole house unit though???? The whole house RO's are really expensive. A small one to produce 50 gals a day for $130 low end. High ends are 300-1000$$.

Yeah, but it would look waaaay cooler witha CLSB sticker

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

They don't have a website. I either have to figure it out or give them a call. I found a number already for them. I'm going to check out my gear theory tonight or give them a call this weekend. The company is in Villa Park so I thought someone in the area may have the same one, but who knows if that's there own timer or another companies on there.
