Found property question

Ok, so I got home from a date last night at about 2am (date went well, I'm going to marry this girl), and sitting in my lawn in the pouring rain is a pretty nice BMX bicycle. I figure what happened is that the bike was stolen from one of my neighbors and ditched in my yard (my house backs up to a private drive that is no longer used for anything aside from joggers/bicyclists and kids starting trouble). My question is what do I do with the bike. I have no use for it seeing as how I'm 6'2" and this thing looks like something a 12 year old would ride. Do I call the police? Post flyers? Leave it out in the yard? If it was stolen then some kid is probably pretty crushed about it, which is why I'm hesitant to just leave it outside from some punk to pick up, but on the other hand, I don't know how to return it to the owner as there are about 400 houses in my subdivision. Lemme know.

take it to the police DEPT and tell them whats up. if the owner calls the police in this case, they will have a bike to ID for the owner.

Did you see your date drive up in a car? That could be her bike. lol Maybe cause of the rain she decided to take a cab home.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Part it out! Maybe recoup some of your "generous spending" (hopefully ) from your date! Or could it be a sign from above trying to tell you that after you marry this girl this is the only 2 wheels you will be riding?

Just kidding! Take it to the PD.

I would take it to the PD and if they don't want it I would chain it to a pole by your house with a sign that says bike found and to come ask you about retrieving it.

If the PD has no takers and you get it back, I pay cash for GT, Hutch, and Dyno. Mao has no idea what bike dealing is all about.

Set out two bowls next to it.. one w/ water, one w/ kibble.. spread out a blanket to put it on, chain it to a tree and set out a couple of tennis balls too...

Anyone who asks about it, really lay it on think about how you walk it each day, give it a bath, brush the seat, etc.

Everyone Exaggerates

We're being taken for a ride... agaaaaaaain.....
