Spoiler: Bourne Ultimatum

Anyone do a review thread yet?

Spoilers:

I thought it was great!!

Pros:
  • threaded together with the ending of the last movie perfectly, I loved how the conversation he had with Pam Landy at the end of the last movie was integrated mid film on this one.
  • Good action scenes
  • Layed groundwork for sequel without leaving us hanging terribly

Cons:
  • Frantic camerawork, similar to the 2nd one, was a little much for me. I thought I was going to have a seizure at times.

It's the dame God damn movie just rehashed. I think I can kick Jason Bourne's ass.

That's what bugged me as well. it seems a lot of action films are substituting skilled actors and well choreographed fight scenes with jarring camera movement. I blame Gladiator for starting this trend.

I assume we're to believe that he had a relation ship with the Nicky Parsons character prior to his entering the program. Surely she'll have a roll in the next sequel.

some of the crap he did on that 2stroke enduro bike thingy were way beyond the belieavability point, starting with the single kick start. lol

I agree here, this is why I loved the Matrix movies. They made the actors train for months so they could do the fights on the screen, and it looks a lot better. The same happened on Transformers, when two bots got together, I could not make heads from tails.

I agree with vcook, with the cons, as well as the connection with Nicky.
One thing i've noticed in this one, was how they stopped paying attention to small things... i.e. when he hotwired the audi, and than hit the truck parked in front of it to get the guys behind it... when he then reversed out, the front of the audi was mint. Same thing happened in couple of other scenes...

Also, he's starting to have the Jack Bauer/Chuck Norris complex, where he can get in any car accident, multiple times in a row, and walk away unharmed, or even better have his face blow thru glass, and not have one cut from it

clearly there must have been some deal with Audi for the film. Nicky's car was a GTI, the badguy in the chase scene had a Toureg, and he steals an Audi. Clearly Audi's have shit security on them too, as it took him about 3 seconds to hot wire.

How did he fall off that bridge and survive. We just saw that bridge collapse last week and some of them did not make it, that bridge was not very high above the water. These are two bridge incidents he has escaped. That drop had to have been a good 200+ feet. Guy from X games fell 50 feet, was still pretty messed up, internal bleeding and other injuries, do the math .

Dude, don't tell me you didn't like her in Save The Last Dance?

And +1 with that Bwa said. At the end when he's got the pistol on the dr's forehead, at first it was a Beretta, then when his flashbacks finished it was a Sig Sauer. That was a good fight scene with Desh though, bitch was tearin' shit up.

Great movie overall... now i just need to see the 1st one.

I hear in part 4, Bourne loses his memory yet again, has some more flashbacks again, gets hunted by the Black Ops CIA agents again and Bourne runs and hunts them all down again.

ACtually, i was told that in part 4, he's going to find out that Bond trained him, hunt him down, have a few nice car chases, faces off, then BOurne skins Bonds face and puts it on his.

You just defined the term "sequel". And I will still see Bourne 4 if that is what it is about cause i love action flicks

Bullshiet! That defined marketing gimmick. This defines a sequel.

1) a literary work, movie, etc., that is complete in itself but continues the narrative of a preceding work.

I don't remember T2 being rehashed Terminator stuff. Or Rambo part 2, or God father part 2. Even James Bond fights a different villain each time.

I'm waiting for Jurassic Park 8. I hear the dinosaurs eat people in that movie.

the whole camera shaking thing is spose to add to the chaos of the fight scenes. all i think it does os annoys people.

dontcha just love how they build the commercials into the movies now? thanks VW! ya vultures, for taking from the escape from commercial television, that is the movies. bad enough they play commercials prior to the movie.

Operating a motorcycle. So easy, even a caveman can do it. Knowing how to ride? Priceless.

what? that thing was much larger than a trials bike. maybe they used a trials bike for the stunt shots but it was bigger than that, and clearly had a real seat.
