Bucked up the $417.00........

.... to the state and am legal and may have gotten a woman fired - I feel kinda bad

I go to the winder and get all the paperwork and take it to the first of the 3 stops - She tells me she can't process because the first charecter in my VIN on my bill of sale looks like a 3 and the title shows a Z - I then proceed to show her that it is a carbon copy that is smugged and if you look at the 6th charecter in the VIN which IS a 3, you can see the difference - She tells me no and to get a faxed copy sent that SHE can read and then shouts "NEXT" - So I stroll to the Asst Mgr's office and I ask for 5 mins of his time - I explain what just happened with this woman, show him all my paperwork and ask for his opinion - He picks up his phone, dials and says, "Hello Angela, she's at it again" - He takes everything I have and walks me to the Mgrs office - 5 mins later I am writing checks and walking out with my new plates - He shakes my hand and appologizes and says that if I come by tomorrow, there is a good chance she will not be working there

I feel kind of bad - I never raised my voice or expressed discontent - I just showed him everything and explained what happened - I DO NOT want to be the cause of someone losing their job

don't feel bad, "she's at it again", you're not the first and wouldn't have been the last. Simply the straw that broke the camel's back, her own fault

She was not like that - Just not willing to help or even ask for a 2nd opinion hence my reason in doing so

I was at the DMV as well today, I stopped in with the title to my dirtbike just to see what it would take to make it legal. well it's actually not a title, it an out of state certificate of origin from 99 thats been signed over by 4 different buyers, the guy at the counter just laughed and told me to forget it.

I think the DMV is cracking down on bad customer service. I went recently to get a duplicate title and they treated me like gold. They even had a guy walking the floor just talkin' people up to help the time go by while they were waiting in line. It was wierd.

Title for a dirtbike? When I bought my KTM I got nothing but a bill of sale. My XR100 came with the IL certificate of origin which was unfortunately marked "off road use only" crushing my hopes of having a street legal XR100.
