Back from Alaska

Well I have been back for almost a week. I'm just slow on posting this.

I did a 7 day cruise with my in-laws and my 4 month old son. Lets just say there were some interesting moments. My son Ty didn't cry once on the plane trips. He just slept the whole time. So I dodged that crying baby on a plane problem.

We started off in Anchorage. Which right now has 22 hours of daylight. Couldn't get used to that one. Whoever thinks Alaska is always cold doesn't know what they are talking about. I should have packet more shorts. It was in the 70's almost every day. Not a drop of rain the whole trip either. I think I really lucked out.

Saw just about every big animal you could think of besides moose and wolves. I'd go again but I'd stay in one place longer going from port to port didn't give you enough time to see and doe everything.

Some pics

My favorite pic of the trip

Alaska is 2nd on my list to visit. They have some great rates now for cruises to Alaska. I want to go eat some muktuk. Before years end, I am hitting up Amsterdam.

I am so jealous. Alaska is my #1 dream vacation location. I and the wife both don't want to do it until we can afford to spend the long one up there, 16 days trip with only 3 of it on a cruise ship, all the rest inland and lots of time to do stuff on your own. Its what my parents did a few years back already and they spent about $9000 in all, but they did everything you could possibly do. Helo up to McKinley, fly in fishing day trip, everything just about.

Awesome pics and the pic of the wife and baby is absolutly fabulous

Yep, Anchorage is very warm in the summer. It gets colder the higher in altitude you get.

Great pics, Jon. Aren't the long days weird? They mess with the mind for the first few days you're there.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
