So Bored...

Our fuggin Autodesk Licensing Server is down at work so I can't get into Autocad. No working = day seems longer. It's been down over an hour already, but it felt like three.

Depends on where you go. Just store your stuff properly and you won't have to worry about bears.

Where are you going camping? Car camping or backpacking?

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Just a problem with 'bares'

http://archives.cnn.com/2000/US/10/0....ap/index.html

"CEDARBURG, Wisconsin (AP) -- A Wisconsin bank robbery suspect being held in leg irons in a hospital allegedly grabbed a guard's gun, shot off his chains and fled in the nude, leading police on a car and foot chase that ended with officers shooting him in his buttocks."

It looks like one of my buds reserved camping grounds around the dells. Car camping i'm guessing.. nothing too extrodinary. My parents/brothers/uncles are doing "real" camping in Alaska right now! I'm jealous.

It's all good.. i've seen every episode of Man Vs. Wild.. I should be able to handle the rugged and fearsome terrain of Portage, WI. Worse comes to worse i'll eat earth worms and hunt rabbits by creating snares.

Now there are bears in Alaska to worry about. I'm jealous, too.

I highly doubt you'll run into any in the Dells.

Just make sure you wear one of those bear-proof suits. I think Homer Simpson had the best model.

Illegally shared copies of AutoCad FTW!

We have some old ass CADAM drawing program that is such a pain in the ass to use. The only reason my company has it is because all our old prints are in it, so when a print change comes around, I just hack to pieces and do out of scale dimensions

The other week our pro/e server went down for a few hours and I was in your shoes.

Solidworks 2006
Matlab

I still shutter at the thought of Matlab.

It's not necessarily illegal, more of an older, shared copy that is only stored locally and not recommended for use by the company. It's only used for transfering dxfs from one program to another.

If you know surfacing in Pro/e, you can come to LaGrange, I have some work for you to do, I mean, help with because surfacing is owning me right now

I haven't even figured out how to make a line in pro/e yet. I, for one, like Inventor/Solidworks. I'd really like to learn por/e better though. I know CAD like the back of my hand, I've held a CAD drafting job since I was 15.
