Fax Spam

Does anyone still get this on their fax machines. I think the electrical work I did in here opened up a worm hole to 1989 as I get all sorts of vacation and office supply fax offers everyday. I thought this shit died when Al Gore invented the internet.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

I've been selling your fax number to fax marketing companies. For just a few grand, I'll stop

FWIW I get 'em too. The longer a fax number is in service the worse this seems to get unless you are aggressive about requesting removal from lists and actually follow up.

I hate that crap. You must tell people at your work place to be very careful who they give the fax number to. We do not have our fax number listed, you have to call us and ask for the fax number. Since we have done this, there has been no fax spam . Before we used an ink jet printer, this problem cost us a ton of money back then, receiving almost 10 - 15 advertising faxes a day.

That's correct and they can be sued. There are several successful cases.

The fax machine in the superintendent's secretary's office has the number you can call for fax spam. I'm too lazy to walk down there to get it though.
