Campsites?

Attn all you outdoor guys n gals... anyone have any suggestions for good campsites? I'm planning on leaving early on Friday morning of Labor Day weekend for a 2-3 day camp trip. I've been to Apple River Canyon twice and it's an awesome place but they don't have showers making extended stays well stinky! Also been to Rock Cut and that's huge, nice place but it gets way too crowded on holiday weekends. I was thinking maybe down south past Springfield? Here are some of the "requirements" but I'm open to all suggestions.

1) Must have showers

2) Must have plenty of primitive style sites (class C preferred, not class D because i'd rather not hike tons of gear back and forth from the site). We'll be tenting it and those primitive sites go damn fast.

3) Must have good fishin'! When I'm feeling lazy there's nothing like catfishin but we'll have multiple poles and set ups so as long as the fishings good I'm happy.

4) Secluded sites are preffered. I hate those sites where it's just a big field and posts with numbers to indicate a site. I'd rather not see the horny couple next to us trying to make babies (or here then for that matter). Apple River is great for this reason, bushes/trees seperate each site and there's decent distance between 'em too.

5) I'd like to stay away from the city and the crowds without going too far. Maybe 200 mile range?

Thanks everyone!

I was just up near the dells 2 weeks ago and stayed at Mirror Lake State Park. It was exactly what I wanted. Primitive sites, showers, toilets & pit toilets...they have a lake (drrrr) with a little beach and Devil's Lake is so close which was nice to hike the bluffs. It is nice and quiet and all wooded...I'll send you a pic of my site. Just an idea!

I can't remember if Bong Lake has any primitive sites, but if my memory serves me correctly, I think there are some group hike-in sites there. Lots of stuff to do there. They have dirt bike trails too!

Edit: http://dnr.wi.gov/org/land/parks/specific/bong/

Glacial Drumlin State park is pretty cool If I remeber correctly as well. I think it was a little more primitive maybe.

Rockcut (near Rockford) is nice. Not sure how primative the sites get but it's close to Blackhawck and NESBA is there Labor Day week-end!

*bump* thanks everyone else for the great ideas! Brandon i hear western IL has a lot of good spots. i'd actually love to be along the Mississippi (i finally get to use the song for that spelling ) to catch me some blue cats but i'm probably gonna be drunk most of the time so that spot you're buddy planned sounds great! i'll wait to hear from you on that.

I think you aren't going to find a campsite this late in the game. Especially for that weekend. Goodluck

Be sure you are sober and find a flat tent site BEFORE you get drunk...

I woke up with the tent upside down one time...

(Let's not let this get out to the public )
