Work Expense Reports

Anyone else travel alot for work? It's been kind of hectic with travel for us and this expense report is INSANE. I have 65 line items on my excel doc.

We get 90 days to submit ours. My problem is I wait until the 80th day. Then I'm scrambling to find all my recipts, boarding passes, hotel invoices. Half the time I'm calling around to see if I can get copies!

I create my own missery!

Thats a great idea. I'm sure I could find a way to hide a brand new set of Pilot Powers PRCs and adjustable cam sprockets in here for next weekend.

nice!

yeah expense reports suck...but normally I don't mind them if the travel is within the states. Out of the US travel expenses suck because then I have to wait for all the money conversions and headaches that it causes.

Be careful what you wish for . It can be a pain in the ass, especially when traffic is terrible.

My company is really good with expense reports, I remember we flew out to Maryland for a day saw the customer then when and got some blue crab for lunch, for just the two of us it was like 116 dollars they never asked one thing! got to love it.

I travel quite a bit too. The best part is, I'm the one who enters, files, and writes out everyone's reimbursement checks...including my own. I get to see what everyone does for the "Entertainment/Other" category. It's funny paying a check to myself...authorized signature from myself...endorsed by myself!

I hated doing expense reports... I ended up just using one credit card for all work expenses... Didn't have to worry about receipts and I just waited til my statement came and attached it to the report. Made it so much easier!!

But yeah... So glad I don't have to deal with those anymore!!

Oh yes lobster dinner tastes even better when the company is paying for it. I second Crazy Train's comment about crab in Maryland. If you're in MA you have to try their crab.

Yeah, and it's not crab unless its blue crab out there... they look at snow crab legs and laugh. Steamed with some sort of seasoning they put on it on the outside, they lay out a piece of paper and give you a hammer and it's on.
