Type R or Evo X?

In comparison, I like the Type R, but the evo 10 is way cheaper!

In this wonderful and competitive world, many companies are trying to win the market, whether selling their products or gaining fame. Recently, Honda just launched Honda Civic Type R on Thursday last week that is the 2nd of August 2007. A few days after that, Mitsubishi launched their Evo X on 7 August 2007. Almost everyone thought Mitsubishi Evo X would cost a huge sum of money. The previous versions of the Mitsubishi like the Evo 9 which cost around RM260,000.00. But instead, the Mitsubishi Evo X only cost RM111,000.00 on the road price. Amazing!! Honda Civic Type R costing RM190,000.00 and the Mitsubishi costing RM111,000.00 is a really huge price difference. Both of them have a 2.0Litre Turbocharged engine. Both delivers amazing power, and both the design is as sporty and nice. So why not settle for a Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi had put a lot of research into their Evo X. Mitsubishi had upgraded their S-AWC [Super All Wheel Control] system and this car has an improved Active Yaw Control (AYC) and an all-new four-wheel independent active-braking system. Mitsubishi gave away their car for an amazing price with amazing technologies. Honda have lost this round in terms of price and value for money. Here are some pictures of the Honda Civic Type R and the Mitsubishi Evo X.

Evo FTW. First year for this Honda civic type R. and they didn't say if it is FWD RWD or AWD. Although I don't really like the looks of the EVO X

What are both of the prices in USD??

How about just a plain civic and a new R6 for the same price instead of just a premium gas using rice box?

link above for more info on the Type R. Two completely different cars in two different categories. the Type R is FWD and much slower then the EVO. Civic is there to compete with the cobalt SS, the old SRT-4, and the other forced induction FWD cars out there.

The Civic Si (I think Type R is used in Europe and Japan) costs around $20,000. I was kind of shocked when I saw that the Evo X and the Civic Type R cost the same. The Si has always been around $20,000. Si is FWD with a 200HP inline 4. I think that Honda should come out with an AWD Civic, I'd buy it.

Honda has been selling Civic Sis since the early 90s. It is the first year for this generation and the first year for the 4 door sedan. From what I've heard, it is hard to get your hands on an Si. They sell pretty quickly.

I didn't say I was getting one silly. Just wanted to discuss it! The integra type r is hot too.

We will never get the R here anyways, we just get a mugen pos with body kit and crap.

Then you never will, as the older you get the less that car makes sense, hence you can't fit time.

Unless you turn into a track-day junkie but we all know 2 wheels are more fun than 4.

I think they are both great looking cars, even the lancer GTS isn't a bad looking car, though mind numbingly slow.

It wasn't that.. I would most certainly have fun w/ the damn thing... it would require selling the VR4 to get it. (no room otherwise)

They both look nice. I never thought I'd like those type of cars until I drove a buddy's STI, that thing was fun as hell to drive! I'd never buy one, I need a pickup truck, but I do like driving them.

I've had good experiences w/ 2 of their products since august 1994. Sometimes it depends on what you buy and how you use(abuse) it.

the Evo is a fun car to drive, its not my daily driver though so i don't know what it would be like for one. the looks of all model Evos are good to some and crap to others. to each his own. i like both cars here, but it really isn't a comparison as they are not in the same class. if you want something practical, it would be the civic, if you want something more fun to drive it would be the Evo. Simple.

EVO FTW. These shouldn't even be directly compared, since they are two very different cars that cam from two very different pasts. Rallye Car v.s. Rice Boy Car.

Yeah, you think that because it looks similar to Audi's front ends. But yes, I do think it looks nice as well.

are you smoking? That looks nothing like an Audi. If my Audi looked liek that i'd have a cheaper, more reliable car with a fart can coming out the rear end, and an even bigger wing, ya know, for downforce.
