That guy is an Idiot, no wonder the government is trying to ban guns. A test like that is cool only if it is done in a safe environment. NOT IN TOWN

I am impressed by the Glock

That counts too. Wheelies on a public road in traffic.

I don't understand...why is that?

Aren't these tested under harsh conditions by Glock and especially California gov?

Harsh is one thing, underwater is way beyond that. Rapid firing under water?
Not a very good idea.

Why would you need to fire a gun underwater? Are people that scared of fish?

"Glock pistols may be reputed to function flawlessly underwater but the Glock 19 is not designed to do so. Firing it underwater can destroy the firearm and injure the shooter. While its relative the Glock 17 can be equipped with maritime spring cups to enable underwater firing and while the Glock 19 can also be fitted with those cups, "only the Glock 17 was designed and intended to use the modified spring cups for aquatic firing and only then using 9 mm ball ammunition to remain within acceptable pressure limits."

From Wikipedia.

Basically the pressure of the bullet tryng to push the water out of the barrel could cause the barrel to explode, like shooting a shotgun with Bugs Bunny's fingers stuck in the barrel. If the bullet makes it out of the barrel, it could turn and strike the shooter.

Nope, marine cups and all installed on it. I have had the oppertunity to shoot underwater with a glock and the gun still works great.
