Just went to Rodney Atkins concert couple of weeks ago. Country is good times

From future album of his (is as best of recollection of lyrics that I can recall )

"I've quit smoking, women and drinking last week.

It was the hardest 50 minutes of my life!"

I hated country with a passion until I went to SIU. I still don't listen to it a lot, but I will finally admit that I like country. My favorite song is Kenny Chesney - Back Where I Come From just because I have a lot of hazy memories related to that song.

Willie Nelson: Pretty Paper

The entire album. It's my favorite Christmas Album. Good times.

Oh, and the Dukes of Hazzard theme song.

That's about as far into country I get.

Country is not my first choice, but I don't mind it. For some reason, whenever I'm on a road trip or long car ride I tend to listen country music.

I'm a huge fan of "Ramblin Fever" by Merle Haggard. I'm also a fan of George Strait and Alan Jackson. Can't forget the Smokey and the Bandit song "Eastbound and Down"

If you can read this, you don't need glasses.

Grover is the only person on this board with worthwhile taste in country music.

Joe's on weed street actually books really great bands in your area.

Aug 16: Eli Young Band
Sept 27: Stoney LaRue
Sept 28: Reckless Kelly
Oct 5: Shooter Jennings w/ Wade Bowen
(yes, Waylon Jennings' son, and yes the guy that's dating Drea DeMatteo)

Keep your eyes out for a Jason Boland or a Randy Rogers date and you'll thank yourself, and then you'll take that gay poster of Kenny Chesney off your bedroom wall.

I like the classics (George/Tammy/Waylon/Willie/Dolly/Reba, Cash/Cline/Pride/Tillis, George Strait, etc. etc.) I have 8 or 9 Alabama cassettes (don't ask), Marty Robbins...

Basically anything that was recorded prior to the last decade. I think the new stuff is generally ga'bage.

I don't know the names of the songs or the artists but I like a lot of it. As far as mainstream country goes, I like that one "pickup truck man" song....urrr...they all mention trucks but the one I'm talking about is funny.

Rascal Flatts isn't really country.

Country is Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Gary Allen, Reba, Sara Evans, even original Shania was more country than Rascal Flatts. Yes I'm an Asian cowboy.
