Custom paint helmets?

I read in the instructions how delicate the shell is on a helmet. i'm wondering if theres a special paint that won't decrease the safety of a helmet? any places you guys suggest around here to get my helmet painted? thanks guys

Yes there is special paint. I have to talk to my paint rep to find out so I'm not sure what kind yet.

alright cool, now i know that it'll still be pretty safe with a painted helmet, now for the design? Are there a whole buncha books likee a tatoo parlor? or do you just generalize what you want, then they totally flip ur idea into a dope ass helmet?

Kate is a great artist. The attached image was my inspiration for the helmet. I just sent her the photo, told her the changes I wanted, she did an airbrush proof and I sent her my helmet. I've known her for a few years through the CBR list. She's very cool, but definitely the starving artist type. Tell her I sent you.

This was the inspiration, admittedly the funniest helmet I've ever seen, but I thought the hairy bean bags were a bit over-the-top for riding on the street.

I knew that I heard about Katewerk from somewhere. Now I remember. I used to be on the CBR list, when I had my CBR F2.
