Ok Milton! Just make sure you take the money that Peter-man put in the boss's office!

Can I be the female version of Milton? I feel the same way and it has been driving me crazy for months now!

Sure, you can be the chick Milton. It is hard to hate my job cause I am paid a lot to do it, but I just am so tired of having that feeling every day when you get home that you had absolutely zero effect on anything in the world.

This is why I drink after work.

We all need a reason to drink or we are just alcoholics like Alex

I blame my drinking on our materials management division

You know, my job would be okay if they would hire ANYONE to replace all of the people that retire or quit. It's gotten so bad that people are retiring or quitting because they're sick of doing everyone else's job. Then that makes it even worse for the rest of us that are still here. All of this crap to meet shareholder's expectations. Who cares if the computers still work.

I love my job. Besides the military, where else can you operate multi-million dollar/hazardous trains (enough to make northlake a memory) with a GED? If I get pissed, I just derail some shit and blame it on bad track. And Blarney, sooo close to neg rep for not showing a red swingline.

Well, I feel sorry for you. Yesterday I balanced a project against the available resources, and just this morning I leveraged team resources to produce action items for further review.

If any of those mean something to you then you have my sympathy. I couldn't take it anymore. Got out while I could. Back to being a happy geek. I actually get to touch computers again! I think if I made enough money I could tolerate a job I hated, but I'm not really sure how much 'enough' would be? I guess inversely proportional to the square root of the amount it sucked divided by pie?
