us cellular / blackberry

I have been with cingular for almost 10 years. I currently have a cingular 8125 smart phone. My parents live in bufu WI and my service drops about 10 miles before I get to the house. I have been dealing with this for at least 3-4 years.

I want to get a blackberry and will probably switch providers.

I just checked Sprint's website and they say they have no info on service levels for that area in WI.

My wife currently has us cellular and her phone has worked everywhere we have went.

I am curious if anyone has us cellular and a blackberry. How is the service and speeds?

Josh

I don't have a BB but I do have US Cell and my boyfriend works for them...so we have played with quite a few of them. I don't lose service really anywhere in WI IL or IA. Speeds are pretty good from what I have seen. I've had nothing but good luck with my phone and all of my services/features. If you have more specific questions I'll be more than happy to ask him for you

I have US Cellular also and I have coverage everywhere. When most of my friends don't have coverage with their carrier my phone still works just fine.

I've rarely not had any service with Sprint as much as I hate their customer service, it's the best Ive found and I travel a lot, from east to west coast, it has to be rural in the middle of nowhere in the mountains that I don;t get service. I have the ppc6700 windows platform.

USCell is good if your just using for calls, but if it's for data aka internet USCell lacks. I'd recommend Verizon or Helio if it's for data usage.

Don't most of the cell providers allow you to "test drive" their service for a week/month before you get locked in? The US Cellular commercial says you have a month to try it out.

Yea, you have 30 days for most carriers to test out. If you decide to cancel it then you only play prorated minutes that you used during that time.
